International Wine Challenge - Silver Winner - Judges Tasting Notes:
"A delightfully interesting wine. Delicious rhubarb, elderflower and preserved strawberries. Layered with apple blossom on the finish."
Winemakers Notes:
"Golden colour, good small bubbles and fine mousse. Soft with subtle fruit notes on the nose. 36 months ageing on lees and 6 month ageing on cork has helped develop finesse. Vegan."
Master of Wine Notes:
"On the nose, immediately a suggestion of great elegance, real finesse. It will appeal to people who like individual small grower single vineyard Champagnes. An exemplary wine and has a good story. Ready to sail now, but is certain to develop and improve with more bottle ageing."
Grower Notes:
"April sunshine helped an earlier bud burst. Slight frost in early May meant that we just avoided any harm to the vines, probably thanks to our steep slope and cutting the grass really short to allow the frost to roll down hill. Generally a super sunny year with the vines getting lots of personal attention and good vineyard health. September was good for ripening, with more warm weather. Pinot harvested 22nd October and Chardonnay on the 27th October. Incredible year for growing grapes at Dryhill."
